Subway assigns three campaigns to Publicis Montreal

Sandwich chain Subway has assigned the creation of three North American television campaigns to Publicis Montreal. The agency won the assignment in a competition involving 46 agencies that began three weeks ago. Each contender was required to submit an advertising approach for two of the chain’s six new products. Publicis Montreal will now produce the two campaigns it pitched, plus a campaign for a third product. All three campaigns will break in August. “This is a major achievement,” said Jean-Jacques Stréliski, the agency’s director of creative and strategic planning. “Our new strategic approach totally captivated them. That says a lot about the excellence of the strategic and creative planning department we set up just six months ago.”
