Intuit Canada begins online campaign

Software company Intuit Canada has begun a national online campaign to promote its QuickBooks 2007 accounting package to small business owners. The campaign consists of banner ads on websites aimed at small businesses. The first execution depicts a snake emerging from a calculator tape. The second ad shows a scorpion hiding in a collection of office supplies. Both ads are intended to illustrate the dangers of traditional accounting methods. “In the past, we ran a more traditional print ad campaign, but decided to move marketing resources online to creatively reach our small business target audience,” said Barb Anderson of Intuit’s small business group. The campaign, created by Tribal DDB of Vancouver, will run for several months.
