Tetley Canada begins national iced tea sampling program
Tea company Tetley Canada has begun a national sampling program for Tetley Iced Tea. The company will distribute approximately 500,000 samples of the beverage to consumers at community events, attractions, parks and beaches, as well as at retail outlets. The program is running in Vancouver, Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, Calgary Edmonton, Montreal, Halifax and Ontario cottage regions Bracebridge, Muskoka, Haliburton, Parry Sound, Bancroft and Huntsville. Promotional workers will distribute the samples on land and from branded boats. "The goal of our program is to distribute a high volume of Tetley Iced samples across Canada while having one-on-one interaction with our consumer," said Kurt Hatherly, channel development manager at Tetley Canada. "This cost-effective, integrated sampling program is complemented by strong media support through radio advertising and promotion, ensuring our target audience is receiving the Tetley Iced message through a variety of channels." The sampling program is being managed by Mama Media of Toronto.
