Wild on Media readies cycle advertising inventory
Toronto-based outdoor media company Wild on Media has signed an agreement to be the exclusive Canadian operator of an ad display method called Promo/Adbikes. The four-wheeled cycles are fitted with a double-sided, illuminated display space measuring four by six feet. Additional branding can also be placed on the wheel cover, windshield and sides of the vehicle. Each bike carries a sound system and will be pedaled by a rider who will distribute information about the advertiser to passers-by. The bikes are currently in use in a number of European and Asian cities, including Paris, Mumbai and Moscow. The bikes will go into operation in Canada in July. Wild On Media has also signed a first offer of refusal for the exclusive rights to the U.S. market.
