Audit Bureau of Circulations, Polar Mobile to offer mobile audience metrics
The Audit Bureau of Circulations has formed a partnership with Toronto-based Polar Mobile to provide audited mobile audience metrics. Via this association, the bureau's interactive division, ABCi, will provide independently audited mobile usage data from smartphones, tablets and mobile browsers for publications in the US and Canada. "The mobile market is thriving and is expected to continue to do so in both the US and Canada," said Michael Lavery, president and managing director of the bureau. "The need for independent verification of mobile usage is critical, and we are pleased to work with Polar Mobile to provide audited usage figures for this emerging market." The audit reports will contain information such as mobile audience by device type or operating system, mobile audience by day, audience access points, unique devices, page views by section and content shares via email or Twitter.
