Trader Corporation of Toronto has retained DDB Canada as the agency of record for its publication, which carries listings of vehicles for sale in Canada. OMD Canada has been appointed media agency of record for the brand. DDB won the account after a competitive pitch including four shortlisted agencies. The assignment is to re-launch the AutoTrader brand, shifting the focus from its print editions to its online version. A new campaign for the brand will begin in early March. "DDB Canada best demonstrated insights into the Canadian automotive market, the needs of car shoppers and how to position AutoTrader in this context," said Sebastian Baldwin, president of Trader Corporation. "We were impressed by their solid track record of developing breakthrough creative that delivers results to clients and we trust that their idea will help breathe new life into the AutoTrader brand."
