Nordstrom hires DDB Canada
Fashion retail chain Nordstrom has retained DDB Canada as its marketing agency. The firm will work to support the launch of the chain in Canada in the fall of 2014. The assignment includes advertising, public relations, shopper marketing, digital work and social media management. DDB won the account in a competitive pitch process involving two other agencies. DDB will service the account from its Vancouver office with support from Toronto. Media buying and planning will be handled by Omnicom Media Group.
"We recognize that we're new to Canada and that we have a lot to learn before we open our first stores," said Karen McKibbin, president of Nordstrom Canada. "We feel fortunate to work with the innovative and passionate team at DDB Canada as we endeavour to create meaningful relationships with Canadian customers."
