Nokia promotes Lumia 1020 in Vancouver and Montreal

Nokia Canada has begun a campaign supporting the launch of its new Lumia 1020 smartphone. The campaign, which will run in Vancouver and Montreal until Nov. 16, focuses on the quality of the phone's camera. The promotion makes use of oversized replicas of the product installed in the restrooms of approximately 60 participating restaurants, bars and campuses. The phone's display reads, "When you got 41 megapixels to explore, you never know what you might find." Consumers who look into the lens of the replica will see photographs demonstrating the zoom feature of the camera. These installations are being accompanied by static out-of-home advertising and social media activities. The campaign was developed by MO:PR and Newad of Montreal.

"The Nokia Lumia 1020 has a unique look and color," said Sébastien Voyer, Nokia account manager at MO:PR. "It's also the only smartphone that features a 41 megapixel camera sensor. Accordingly, we wanted a campaign that would fully promote the device and its star feature. The flexibility and creativity of Newad's advertising solutions enabled the design of an interactive medium that lets users both experiment and experience the possibilities that are available with the zoom reinvented."
