Gateway Newstands adds digital ad signage

Gateway Newstands of Toronto has begun expanding its distribution of free publications and adding new digital signage at its points of sale. The distribution of free publications, formerly handled by outside the company, will now be managed by a new division called Gateway Direct Media. The division will also handle ad sales for the new signage.

"We know that digital signage is expanding and that advertisers are finding this media incredibly effective in marketing to consumers," said Noah Aychental, vice-president of marketing and promotions at Gateway. "Our newstands serve millions of people every day. Through Gateway Direct Media, advertisers can capitalize on this high-traffic, key priority market."

Gateway operates approximately 500 newstands in transit stations, office towers, shopping centres and hospitals in North America.
