Fashion Magazine conducts Twitter contest

Toronto-based Fashion Magazine has begun a contest promotion to mark its acquisition of 500,000 Twitter followers. According to the magazine, it is the first Canadian publication to reach this total. Consumers can enter the contest at <>. The winner will receive a trip to Toronto to attend Toronto Fashion Week with an editor from the magazine, a $1,000 shopping spree at Winners and an appearance on one of the brand's online shows.

"We're incredibly proud to have grown our Twitter audience to what it is today and to give back to all of our followers with this exciting contest," said Angie McKaig, director of digital lifestyle brands at Fashion publisher St. Joseph Media. "From the onset, our digital strategy reflected the need to seamlessly integrate Fashion's content into social media while continuing to engage and inform our many fans, an approach that was not only successful, but unique to the Canadian publishing community at the time."
