Disney conducts Need For Speed promotion

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada conducted an experiential promotion over the weekend for the upcoming DreamWorks movie Need For Speed. From March 7 to 9 in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa, promotional workers placed simulated parking tickets on cars in the parking lots of movie theatres, sports venues and nightclubs. Recipients were invited to photograph the ticket and post the picture on Twitter or Instagram to be entered into a draw for various prizes, including passes to an advance screening of the film, autographed posters and other merchandise. The promotion was developed by Simon Pure Marketing of Toronto. Need For Speed will be released on March 14.
