Medipac Travel Insurance releases new commercial
Medipac Travel Insurance of Toronto has released a new television commercial. The ad, developed by Clarke Smith Creative of Toronto, is intended to move the company away from direct response television advertising toward brand development. The 30-second commercial depicts a man attempting to pass through airport security with his collection of lucky charms.
"No one wants to get sick when they travel and often adopt an 'It won't happen to me' attitude," said agency founder Clarke Smith. "When developing a concept, I didn't want to dwell on the negative, but suggest it is better to be prepared, just in case. Through humour, I believe the television spot draws the target in and leaves them with a simple message."
