CTV conducts online Amazing Race promotions

CTV has begun a series of online sponsorship initiatives tied to the new season of reality television show The Amazing Race Canada. The activities are located at <> and support the sponsorships of DQ Canada, Petro-Canada and Scotiabank. One element is The DQ Fan Feed, which tracks social media activity concerning the show. Petro-Canada has undertaken a contest component called "Fuel Your Favourite Team," in which visitors to the site can enter a draw for free gasoline for a year by voting for their favourite teams. The Scotiabank element, called "Follow the Race with Jon Montgomery," features a collection of exclusive content such as photographs and videos from the perspective of the show's host.

"CTV puts fans of The Amazing Race Canada even closer to the action this season with these fun and interactive digital offerings," said Mike Cosentino, senior vice-president of programming at CTV Networks. "With our outstanding partnerships and shared creative vision, viewers can interact on direct platforms, watch exclusive content, learn about the race candidly from our host, and win incredible prizes. It's all designed to give viewers the opportunity to engage with the biggest show on television in this country."
