Lexus resumes Design Award competition
Automaker Lexus Canada has begun a third annual Lexus Design Award competition. The international initiative invites young creative professionals to submit a design for some object encapsulating the theme of the five human senses. Twelve finalists will be selected to display their designs at the company's 2015 Milan Design Week event. From these 12, four designers will be selected to receive mentoring from an international designer, as well as up to ¥2.5 million to build a prototype of their design. These prototypes will also be displayed in Milan. A grand prize winner will then be selected from among the four. Entries can be submitted online at <http://www.lexusdesignaward.com> until Nov. 3. The competition is being conducted in association with Designboom.
