Indigo begins promotion with National Magazine Awards
Toronto-based retail chain Indigo Books & Music has begun an initiative in association with the National Magazine Awards Foundation intended to promote award-winning Canadian magazines on its newsstands. The national promotion will run from Sept. 22 to Oct. 18. During this time, this year's eligible winning publications will be featured on a special in-store display at 91 Indigo locations. The objective of the promotion is to increase single-copy sales and to provide publishers with a group marketing awareness campaign tied to the award.
Participating magazines include Cottage Life, Azure, Chatelaine, Elle Canada, Fashion, Fshnunlimited, Little Brother, Maclean's, Prefix Photo, Sharp, Sportsnet, The Walrus, This Magazine, Toronto Life and the United Church Observer.
