Metro Ontario hires A&C

Grocery store chain Metro Ontario has retained A&C of Toronto as its media relations agency. The agency recently developed a media relations strategy and associated sponsorship program for the company's "Taste Summer" campaign. Metro operates approximately 600 food stores in Ontario and Quebec under the names Metro, Metro Plus, Super C and Food Basics, as well as 250 drugstores under the names Brunet, The Pharmacy and Drug Basics.

"The team at A&C has demonstrated an impressive ability to build innovative communications initiatives that strategically leverage all of our customer touch points," said Nancy Modrcin, senior director of marketing at Metro Ontario. "Their passion for food, and retail in general, has inspired us to look beyond traditional marketing tools to build more inspiring customer experiences."
