John St. expands into Montreal

John St. of Toronto has opened a new office in Montreal. The office will be headed by managing director Mylene Savoie. Prior to joining the agency last year, she was a group account director at Taxi and an account director at JWT, Leo Burnett and Ryan & Deslauriers. The creative staff will be headed by associate creative directors Sebastien Lafaye and Cedric Audet, most recently an art director and copywriter at Bleublancrouge, respectively.

"We've been talking about it for close to 10 years," said Arthur Fleischmann, president of John St. "But in the past two years, it's become more and more of a priority for us as we look to the future and how we help our clients solve more complex strategic, creative and production problems. We like to think of the Toronto and Montreal offices as one long boardroom table. We want to tap Montreal to work on national briefs as much as Quebec-specific projects. These are really bright minds and we want them in the room."
