Distributel debuts television service

Toronto-based telecommunications company Distributel Communications has launched a new television service called Distributel TV. The service is being rolled-out in a number of English- and French-language markets in Ontario and Quebec in conjunction with Internet television provider Zazeen of Mississauga. The service offers a basic package of 90 television channels, bundled with the company's Internet service for a monthly fee. The company plans to expand its television service into additional Canadian markets in the future.

"Distributel is once again taking a leadership role in Canadian telecommunications with its launch of its new TV service," said Matt Stein, CEO of Distributel. "Distributel TV means that Canadians finally have a real alternative to the television offerings of the country's big cable and phone companies. We're constantly looking to evolve our services and offerings in Canada and working to become the country's leading alternative communications company."
