Groupe Media TFO promotes Champlain miniseries

Groupe Média TFO is conducting an online promotion in support of a miniseries called Rêve de Champlain. The promotion makes use of a website at <http://www.revedechamplain.com> offering a collection of information about the explorer Samuel de Champlain and the TV series about his life. Visitors to the site can also upload images of their own faces to be added to a composite image representing the face of Champlain, whose own appearance is unknown. The promotion was developed by Lowe Roche of Toronto. The miniseries began on March 16.

"Samuel de Champlain espoused values like collaboration and perseverance, and he was a humanist, diplomat and peacemaker, all of which set the tone for what Canada has become," said Jane Murray, executive creative director at Lowe Roche. "We wanted to do something that brought Champlain into the modern day world and helped all Canadians, young and old, personally connect to a man who, for many, is just a figure in a history book. An online experience is a perfect way to do that."
