Jaguar Land Rover sponsors Inuit cancer awareness program
Jaguar Land Rover Canada of Mississauga has begun a sponsorship initiative with the Canadian Cancer Society and Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada. Through this sponsorship, the automaker will provide financial support for increased cancer awareness and health literacy in Canada's Inuit communities. The two non-profit organizations will use the funding to create Inuit-specific resources for patients and the health care providers based on an Inuktitut glossary of cancer-related terms developed by Pauktuutit. Jaguar Land Rover is the only corporate sponsor of the program.
"We are inspired by the Canadian Cancer Society's work and all they do to advance knowledge and improve the quality of life of all Canadians, particularly those most touched by this devastating disease," said Jaguar Land Rover Canada president Lindsay Duffield. "This project is a perfect example of Jaguar Land Rover Canada's continued effort to support healthy communities and create opportunities for future generations."
