Mary Brown's begins spring promotion
Food chain Mary Brown's Famous Chicken & Taters has begun a spring promotion in support of two new menu items: Spicy Buffalo BBQ Tater Poutine and Sweet & Sticky Tater Poutine. Both will be sold until the end of May. The promotion also introduces a new form of four-pack packaging for the chain's sandwiches. The national campaign, developed by Tag Franchise of Toronto, consists of in-store materials, along with radio, billboard and transit advertising. As part of the initiative, the chain solicited suggestions from social media users about its new menu items.
"Crowd-sourcing seems like a small part of the overall campaign," said Patti Laine, president of Tag Franchise. "However, it speaks volumes about what we have built with the Mary Brown's brand. The company is one that values the thoughts and opinions of their consumers. Inviting them to participate in an aspect of menu development is just one way the team is putting the philosophy into action."
