Bake Code retains Co-op Advertising

Co-op Advertising of Toronto has been hired as the Canadian agency-of-record of Taiwanese bakery chain Bake Code. The agency will promote the upcoming launch of the brand in this country. Co-op won the account in a competitive pitch process conducted earlier this spring. Its first assignment will be a communications campaign in support of the opening of a flagship retail store in Toronto in September, along with additional locations in the Greater Toronto Area. This effort will include branding, website development, social media activities, media relations and events.

"When it comes to creating something special, the quality of ingredients you choose can make all the difference," said Thomas Wong, co-master franchisee of Bake Code in Canada. "We were thoroughly impressed with the Co-op team and felt their strategic and creative vision for the brand aligned perfectly with ours. We can't wait to open our doors and break bread with Canadian food explorers far and wide."

Bake Code, which also operates in Malaysia, Indonesia and the US, specializes in breads and pastries that combine Asian flavours with European-style baking techniques. It is a subsidiary of La Kaffa International.
