Vancouver Crime Stoppers conducts Cash for Guns campaign
Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers has begun an advertising campaign in support of its "Cash for Guns" initiative. Conducted in association with the Vancouver Police, the RCMP and other local police forces, the program offers rewards of up to $2,000 for tips leading to the seizure of illegal guns. The six-month ad campaign includes 300 billboards and transit shelter displays in the Vancouver area, along with pre-show ads in movie theatres.
"Being a part of the 'Cash for Guns' initiative in Greater Vancouver will help clean up the illegal gun and gang issues that plague our region," said Steve McGregor, vice-president at Pattison Outdoor Advertising. "Our donation of media space is just a small portion of a large campaign to be proactive and preventative, and bring this important story to the forefront."
