Motel 6 conducts television campaign
Realstar Hospitality of Toronto has begun a television advertising campaign in support of its Motel 6 and Studio 6 hotel chains in Canada. The seven-week campaign, developed by The Richards Group of Dallas, TX, consists of a 30-second commercial called "Advances in Travel." The creative contrasts the ease-of-use of the redesigned Motel 6 website with the unreliability of some forms of technology. It will run until the end of July on Global, CityTV, CTV, and City Network. Ten-second ads and close captioning messages will air nationally and regionally on CityTV, Global, City Network, Game TV and Sportsnet. The television component is being accompanied by digital and mobile advertising. Media buying was handled by VMC Media.
