Toronto Entertainment District conducts gold medal promotion

The Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area has begun a promotional campaign called "The Entertainment District Games." The initiative, developed by Cundari, will run from July 10 to 19, timed to coincide with the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games. During that time, promotional workers will distribute 600 medals to consumers seen shopping, eating, drinking or attending a show in the area. The presentations will be recorded and 30-second videos uploaded to the district's Facebook page daily. Recipients who wear their medals will receive special offers and discounts from participating local businesses. A supporting website has been constructed at <http://www.torontoed.ca/games>. This is the first time the organization has engaged in a promotion of this kind.

"We wanted to tap into the joy and friendly competition visitors experience during the games, while encouraging people to stay active in the district," said Mike Sipley, group creative director at Cundari. "What better way for people to join in on the fun than by having the chance to win their own gold medal?"
