Loopmedia develops Toronto airport video installation
Loopmedia of Toronto recently completed an assignment for PortsToronto to develop a video presentation for the new pedestrian tunnel to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. The presentation is displayed on 40 video screens along the interior of the tunnel, where it will be seen by passengers taking the six-minute moving sidewalk trip between the airport and the mainland. The installation consists of a 25-minute loop of animation and live action video. The screens will also display advertising in the form of 15- or 30-second videos, some with touchscreen features.
"We approached this project as if the tunnel were a living infographic," said Sonja Perovic, president of Loopmedia. "The content we designed for the different sized screens was a chance to greet, entertain and inform visitors about the island airport and other PortsToronto properties, providing them with additional context about the airport and the role that PortsToronto has played in turning it into a world class facility."
