Emirates hires WPP
Emirates Airline of Dubai has retained WPP as its global branding and creative advertising agency. The account will be serviced by a group of WPP agencies that will be collectively referred to at Team Air. It will be based in London and will comprise personnel from Grey London, Grey New York, RKCR/Y&R, Geometry Global, Hogarth and TNS. It will be headed by Chris Hunton, most recently head of the Land Rover account at WPP and former CEO of McCann Erickson London. WPP won the account in an agency review begun by the airline last year.
