Best Buy readies wearable technology event
Electronics retailer Best Buy will conduct a street promotion in Toronto on Sept. 8 in support of its range of wearable technology products. The free event, called the "Life & Tech Wearable Tech Expo and Fashion Show," will take place at Yonge-Dundas Square. Approximately 30 exhibitors will display a collection of health and fitness products, wearable cameras, smartwatches, audio products, virtual reality headsets, gesture-based control systems and other merchandise. The event will include two fashion shows, celebrity appearances, panel discussions, product launches and product demonstrations.
Participating exhibitors with interactive demonstrations will include Basis, Blast Motion, Gameband, Garmin, The House of Marley, HTC, IHealth, Ion, Motorola, Muse, Samsung, TomTom and Withings.
