Crayola Canada hires Matchstick
Crayola Canada has retained Matchstick of Toronto as its social media agency of record. The firm will work to establish a social media presence for the Crayola brand in this country. It will also develop social initiatives intended to raise awareness of the brand with Canadian consumers and educators. The agency has begun work with the development of original content and the adaptation of existing content for Facebook. Efforts will expand to include Instagram and Pinterest later this year.
"Ultimately, our social strategy bridges Crayola's nostalgic appeal to Canadians who remember opening their first box of Crayola crayons with the modern company which continues to release innovative products that inspire creativity for today’s children," said Margot Somerville, marketing manager at Crayola Canada.
