National Magazine Awards, Indigo ready joint promotion

The National Magazine Awards Foundation is preparing a national promotion in association with Indigo Books & Music. From Oct. 19 to Nov. 29, a collection of magazines that have received awards will be displayed in a branded newsstand frame in 91 Indigo stores. The intent is to raise awareness of these magazines and the National Magazine Awards, as well as to increase newsstand sales and subscriptions. The foundation and the retail chain conducted a similar promotion last year.

Participating publications will include Nouveau Projet, Canadian Business, Chatelaine, Cottage Life, Fashion Magazine, L'actualité, Maclean's, Maisonneuve, MoneySense, Sportsnet, The New Quarterly, The Walrus, Today's Parent, Toronto Life, Vancouver Magazine and Western Living.
