McDonald's conducts holiday social media promotion
McDonald's Canada has begun a holiday-themed social media promotion called "The GIF That Keeps On Giving" in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada. The promotion makes use of a looping animated image of a child opening a present. Each time the image is shared via social media, the restaurant chain will donate one dollar to the charity. The promotion, developed by Tribal Worldwide of Toronto, also includes paid exposure on Facebook and Twitter.
"Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada provides an essential service, which everyone at Tribal is passionate about and was excited to help support," said Joshua Stein, executive creative director of the agency. "Sharing the 'GIF That Keeps On Giving' is a simple way to help those who need their families the most during the holidays."
