CIBC begins online Investor's Edge campaign

CIBC of Toronto has begun an online campaign in support of its Investor's Edge product line. The effort consists of a series of online videos aimed at do-it-yourself investors. The four videos feature real estate investor and television personality Scott McGillivray. They focus on the ease of self-directed investing using the service. The national campaign also includes digital advertising, social media activities and in-branch materials.

"We wanted to connect with consumers who were curious about investing on their own, but who also would benefit from hearing Scott's perspective," said Rob Assimakopoulos, chief marketing officer at CIBC. "Scott is a sincere, trusted personality who's made DIY and wealth creation more accessible for many people, so the fit with this initiative was natural. Through the voice of CIBC's brand promise, we were able to showcase the easy-to-use online tools, an attractive price per trade and the personalized access to accounts online and via the CIBC Mobile Brokerage App."
