CTV signs Juno sponsors

CTV has signed a series of sponsorship agreements for its upcoming broadcast of the 2016 Juno Awards on April 3. They include Google Play Music, Samsung Canada, TD Bank Group, Tim Hortons and Volkswagen. The sponsorships for each of the five brands will incorporate television, digital and social media elements, including in-show integrations during the awards and during the pre- and post-show coverage.

As part of the Google Play Music sponsorship, the hosts of the Juno Awards will describe their favourite music playlists on CTV's ETalk program from March 28 to April 8. Samsung's sponsorship will include the use of Galaxy S7 smartphones to replace the use of envelopes to announce the winners. TD will again be the sponsor of the Juno Fan Choice Award, the winner of which consumers can vote for at <http://www.junofanchoice.ca>. Tim Hortons will again sponsor the ETalk backstage lounge. Volkswagen will use its sponsorship to extend its "Beetle Road Story" campaign.

"The advertising community has shown tremendous interest in the 2016 Juno Awards broadcast," said Laird White, director of brand partnerships at CTV parent company Bell Media. "It's a distinct opportunity that allows our five partners to unveil exciting activations and in-show branded content."
