Boston Pizza begins nachos campaign

Mississauga-based restaurant chain Boston Pizza has begun an advertising campaign supporting the launch of a new menu item called Cactus Cut Nachos. The campaign consists of television advertising featuring a Boston Pizza general manager spokescharacter. The two executions depict the character shooting t-shirts out of a cannon and providing beer recommendations to accompany the new nachos. These ads will be supported with digital and social media activities focusing on "nacho etiquette," as well as public relations.

"With the baseball season back in full swing, the time is right to introduce our greatest starter food innovation yet," said Steve Silverstone, executive vice-president of marketing at Boston Pizza. "Cactus Cut Nachos are the perfect choice for people who want to share all-star food while watching the big game. They're a flavour-packed combination of our famous Cactus Cut chips layered with our exceptional new toppings."
