Bell Media renews sponsorship of Hot Docs

Bell Media has once again signed-on as the presenting sponsor of Hot Docs, an annual festival of international documentary films that will take place in Toronto from April 28 to May 8. Bell Media has sponsored the festival for 15 years. Its agreement this year will include the branding of the CraveTV Box Office at Hot Docs House, an event called the Hot Docs Forum, a collection of films called the Bell Media Kickstart Series, and an event called the Hot Docs Short Film Pitch. The company will also have exposure at the showings of a number of feature-length and short documentaries that were produced with Bell Media backing. The sponsorship also includes cross-promotion on the company's CraveTV streaming video service and the availability of a number of previously festival titles through the service.

"Canadians love documentaries and Hot Docs is North America's premier celebration of the format," said Scott Henderson, vice-president of communications at Bell Media. "We are proud to support this incredible festival as well as many of the Canadian filmmakers whose works will debut to public and industry audiences."
