Disney readies Alice Through The Looking Glass promotion

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada is preparing a promotion in Toronto in support of its upcoming film Alice Through The Looking Glass. It will consist of a temporary installation on Queen St. West that will be open to the public for one week prior to the May 27 release of the film. The installation will feature a recreation of the Mad Hatter's tea party, including a cake produced by Yolanda Gampp of the YouTube channel How To Cake It.

It will also include a digital kiosk at which visitors can apply their own faces to characters from the film, including  Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, the White Queen, the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat. The installation will also contain imagery from the film which, when photographed and shared on Instagram, will automatically enter the consumer into a draw for advance screening passes and branded merchandise. In addition, makeup artists from cosmetics company Urban Decay will be present on May 22 to conduct makeup demonstrations.
