McDonald's readies Burger Swap promotion

McDonald's Canada will conduct an online promotion on May 28 called "Burger Swap" in support of its Ronald McDonald House charitable initiative. The promotion, which is timed to coincide with National Hamburger Day, also includes the involvement of Scotiabank and The Weather Network. During that day, these companies will replace the menu icon on their website and mobile applications with a hamburger graphic. Each time a consumer clicks on this graphic, 10 cents will be donated to the charity. The campaign was developed in association with Tribal Worldwide Canada.

"We're always looking for clever and relevant ways to support Ronald McDonald House Charities," said Lionel Wong, creative director at Tribal. "The Burger Swap is a simple and smart idea that turns a 'fake' celebration into a rally for a great cause."
