Sears Canada debuts new logo
Toronto-based retail chain Sears Canada has introduced a new logo as part of a larger effort to "re-invigorate and revitalize" the brand. According to the company, this is the most significant change to its logo in 32 years. The new logo is intended to be cleaner and more contemporary. It also incorporates a maple leaf symbol. The logo accompanies a series of in-store and online modernization initiatives. It will roll-out in stores nationally through the summer, with a new website debuting in the fall.
"We are proud to unveil this symbol of reinvention for Sears Canada," said Brandon Stranzl, executive chairman of Sears Canada. "Sears is changing, and our new logo asserts the modern and streamlined image and consumer experience for which we are striving in-store and online."
