Toys R Us prepares Fan Expo promotion

Toy retailer Toys R Us will conduct a promotion at the Fan Expo Canada consumer show in Toronto this weekend. The retail chain's presence at the show will be in collaboration with a number of other brands, including Hasbro, Mattel and Nickelodeon. The company's "chief play officer," 12-year-old Émile Burbidge, will conduct a Facebook-based live video stream on Sept. 3, during which he will visit various booths and demonstrate various products. The promotion also includes a 2,500-square-foot retail space on association with Hasbro, as well as a retail presence in the Mattel installation.

"We are excited to have such a big presence at Fan Expo Canada 2016 through our great vendor partners," said Clint Gaudry, vice-president of marketing and store planning at Toys R Us Canada. "There is no better place for fans to get access to exclusive offers, amazing giveaways and the toys and collectibles they want the most."
