New chief marketing officer at Tennis Canada
Tennis Canada of Toronto has appointed Muriel Solomon to the position of chief marketing officer. She will lead the organization's marketing and communications staff. She will also head strategy and brand development Tennis Canada and the Rogers Cup tournaments in Toronto and Montreal. Solomon was most recently acting chief operating officer and head of marketing communications at the King Street Food Company. Prior to that, she operated her own firm called MES Consulting. She was also head of marketing for specialty television at Shaw Communications and head of the Shaw Media in-house advertising agency. Solomon was also vice-president of specialty marketing strategy at Canwest and vice-president of marketing and publicity for lifestyle and drama channels at Alliance Atlantis.
