Ikea conducts Then & Now campaign

Furniture retailer Ikea Canada has begun an advertising campaign promoting its "Ikea Then & Now" exhibit. The installation, located at the Design Exchange in Toronto until Oct. 30, presents a selection of Ikea products from the 1970s to today. The exhibit promotes the company's 40th anniversary in Canada.

The supporting campaign, developed by Pigeon Brands of Toronto, consists of wrapped streetcars, Swedish meatball vendor cards, additional transit advertising, online materials and social media activities. The effort also features a heart-shaped mascot character.

"We understand the brand's vision and ability to evolve with the needs of their customers, just as we do," said agency CEO Thomas Pigeon. "It's a great opportunity for us to highlight this in a visual way, while connecting Torontonians to a brand they've known and loved for decades."
