Destination Canada, Air Canada sign marketing agreement
Tourism organization Destination Canada has signed an agreement with airline Air Canada intended to promote Canada as a travel destination internationally. During the three-year agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on marketing initiatives aimed at travel companies, consumers and media outlets. This is the first time Destination Canada has formed such an agreement with a consumer-oriented company.
"We couldn't have chosen a better time for this partnership," said David Goldstein, president and CEO of Destination Canada. "Right before our country's birthday in 2017, and following international recognition of Canada as a premier tourism destination by Lonely Planet and National Geographic, this partnership will enable us to highlight that the world needs more Canada."
