Shop Bonsai conducts launch event in Toronto

Toronto-based online shopping company Shop Bonsai conducted a launch promotion in that city last week. The company's mobile application offers editorial content featuring merchandise aimed primarily at millennial-aged male consumers. The launch initiative consisted of an installation at Yonge-Dundas Square constructed from stacked shipping containers. The promotion also included a live graffiti art installation.

"We looked at the retail landscape from​ our own perspective," said Shop Bonsai CEO ​Saad Siddiqui. "There just wasn't anything out there for guys like us. We also learned early on that people care about stories and not products on a shelf. Bonsai is the culmination of the things that matter to us as men who engage with culture, not just things we want to buy. Creating an ecosystem to house all of that is what Bonsai is all about."
