The Give Agency readies charitable initiative in Toronto

Halifax-based The Give Agency is preparing a promotion in association with Sun Life Financial and the National Advertising Benevolent Society. The initiative will involve approximately 150 Toronto-based marketing, advertising and public relations professionals forming a temporary "agency" for five days in February. The group will provide pro-bono marketing advice to Toronto-based charitable organizations. The initiative will run from Feb. 6 to 10.

"We believe that great ideas can change the world, which is why we founded The Give Agency," said Brian Hickling, creative director of the firm. "By tapping into top marketing and communications minds, we can deliver each charity with up to 100 new ideas they can use to ignite revenues, boost engagement and make their organizations more sustainable, all at zero cost. It's exhilarating. It's transformative. It's holistic, and most of all, it's fun."

Charities and marketing professionals can apply to participate online at <http://www.thegiveagency.ca> until Jan. 20. Five organizations will be selected to receive one day of assistance each.
