Nissan Canada, AddEnergie begin electric car promotion
Automaker Nissan Canada has formed a promotional agreement with electric vehicle charging company AddÉnergie of Montreal. Under the terms of the agreement, AddÉnergie's recently-released Flo Home charging station will become the recommended home charging station by Nissan Canada for owners of its Leaf electric vehicles. As part of the deal, Nissan will offer a $500 discount on the purchase of a Flo Home charging station to consumers who buy a new Nissan Leaf from participating dealerships between Jan. 20 and March 31. In addition, Flo will provide Leaf buyers with a card that will allow them free access to its on-the-road network of 3,000 charging stations.
"Since the launch of the Nissan Leaf in 2011, Nissan Canada has demonstrated its commitment to supporting electric mobility in the province of Quebec through its engagement in several projects, notably, the development of public charging infrastructure," said François Lefèvre, chief marketing manager for electric vehicles at Nissan Canada. "We wish to continue our involvement in this regard, and support our Leaf-certified dealerships and also encourage future Nissan Leaf owners in their acquisition of an electric vehicle."
