Dewar's readies Scotch Egg Club promotion

Whisky brand Dewar's is preparing a promotion called the "Scotch Egg Club" in Toronto timed to coincide with Robbie Burns Day on Jan 25. The promotion will feature an installation called Tommy's Egg Kitchen in the style of a speak easy. The installation will be open to the public for one night on the 25th to host a scotch egg competition presented by Scottish chef James Forrest. Six Canadian chefs will compete to create the best scotch egg, as determined by audience tasting. Each scotch egg will be paired with a Dewar's cocktail. Dewar's conducted a similar promotion in New York last fall.

"Burns night represents a fun evening to celebrate the best of Scottish culture, cocktails and cuisine," said Forrest. "We are excited to welcome Torontonians in our kitchen to watch this competition unfold over a lively evening of music and fun."
