Corus offers first-party online audience data for sale
Corus Entertainment of Toronto has begun offering its first-party online audience data to advertisers. According to the company, it is the first major Canadian broadcast publisher to do so. Standalone datasets are now available for buyers to purchase via digital programmatic systems. Corus is currently running data sharing tests with Amnet and Cadreon, with the expectations that all large agencies will be participating by the end of 2017.
"By taking advantage of Corus' audience intelligence platform, advertisers can ensure that their brands and products are being exposed to the right audience," said Brett Pearson, vice-president of digital sales at Corus. "Corus' datasets can help reach customers with ads that are relevant and engaging based on their viewing habits and interests."
