Ducks Unlimited Canada begins Rescue Our Wetlands contest
Charitable organization Ducks Unlimited Canada has begun a contest promotion intended to support its efforts to rehabilitate the Delta Marsh in Manitoba. The initiative, called the "2017 Rescue Our Wetlands Contest," encourages consumers to tell others via social media their reasons why Canadians should do more to protect the nation's wetlands. The winner, to be determined by a random draw, will receive a three-day trip to the marsh to participate in wetland fieldwork and research this summer. The contest will close on May 7.
"This is not a tourist experience," said Ducks Unlimited Canada research scientist Dale Wrubleski. "The winner of this contest can expect to be immersed into our field crew. This is field work. Be prepared for anything."
