Canadian museums launch Ingenium brand
Three Canadian museums have launched a new umbrella brand called Ingenium. The participating institutions comprise the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and the Canada Science and Technology Museum, all located in Ottawa. The new overall brand uses the tagline, "Canada's Museums of Science and Innovation." A new website for the brand has been constructed at <http://www.ingeniumcanada.org>.
The Ingenium brand is intended to present the three museums as places where "the past meets the future," where visitors can learn, explore, play and discover. A new location, to be called the Ingenium Collections Conservation Centre, is currently under construction. It will host a collection of Canadian heritage artifacts as well as a series of digital and social media presentations.
"Ingenium will bring a consistent voice and identity to our corporation," said Fernand Proulx, president and CEO of Ingenium. "It will allow us to reach beyond our four walls and engage with Canadians from coast to coast to coast, and with international audiences. Ingenium is where the past meets the future and inspires the next generation of young innovators."
