Philippe Dandurand Wines hires Cundari
Montreal-based import company Philippe Dandurand Wines has retained Cundari of Toronto to handle marketing for its Santa Margherita and Yellow Tail wine brands. The assignment includes strategy, creative development and media work for both brands in Canada. Cundari won the accounts in two separate pitch processes.
"Cundari had everything in an agency that we were looking for," said Carl Caldareri, Canadian national brand leader at Philippe Dandurand. "Proven strategic and creative leadership, in-house media and a good understanding of the Canadian market. Their demonstrated understanding of our business combined with a very unique creative approach for the category put them over the top."
The agency's first work for Philippe Dandurand is an out-of-home and social media campaign in Montreal and Toronto in support of Santa Margherita. The creative makes use of watercolour-style images of various neighbourhoods in the two cities. A national campaign for Yellow Tail, consisting of television, digital and social media elements, will break in the fall.
